The beginning of this class I found very interesting but also easy to process. Much of it had to do with physics concepts I had studied previously and I had no problem understanding the material. After the midterm we waded into content I was far less comfortable with. The idea of uniform expansion, black holes, time dilation etc. truly challenged me intellectually and while it took more time to understand than the first half of the course I knew I was started to understand the complexities of the universe better.
The idea that the development of galaxies are reminiscent of the start of the universe is almost comforting in that there is almost a pattern, a method to the madness and uncertainty that is the vast universe.
