Since young, I always know that Einstein "invented" the theory of relativity and the formula e=mc^2, but I never had any idea what relativity is. Up till this class, I still did not have any slightest clue what is the difference between special and general relativity. Then after this class, we stared to learn what these terms mean, and it is actually really mind bending to picture the solar system as curved. At first, I thought it hasn't been proven and is only a hypothesis, and then when I realized that it is actually proven, I was really appalled. I took me another few days to picture this and to truly understand and digest the information. The greatest takeaway for this class honestly is to thoroughly understand the theory of relativity, and I am looking forward to possibly taking another Astronomy class.
