Conclusion Post

Astronomy is pretty out of this world. I have never studied Astronomy past 8th grade science. With this course, we have learned about how astronomers and mathematicians began observing things in the night sky hundreds of years ago. It's incredible how much they were able to deduce with their limited technology. Kepler's laws still hold true today and in class we learned how to apply those laws to our solar system. The same is true with Newton, who calculated a version of Kepler's third law to calculate mass of orbiting planets.
The thing that amazed me the most, was the fact that looking farther into the galaxy is looking into the past. This so cool because by looking at celestial bodies that are farther away, we can gain more knowledge about the creation of the universe. Our study of the big bang and our expanding universe were also fascinating.
The universe is such a mystery and we are only able to only scratching the surface with our research.
