Concluding Posts

I have always been interested in Astronomy, and this class only furthered that interest. I have already taken one Astro course in my two years at University of Michigan (102) and I feel that this class went much more in depth. My previous knowledge from that course helped me understand and value this class more. This class really increased my understanding of galaxy formation and the history of the Universe. Learning more about how the Universe was formed and how incredibly vast it is reminded me how how small and short my time on Earth is in perspective. Astronomy not only gave me a new insight into the Universe, but a new insight into the way I want to lead my life. I think the fact that the professor was so excited by the course material really helped me become more excited to learn it. This class is not only a science class, but a history class as well which helped me stay engaged as I enjoy history much more than science. I would definitely recommend this class to a friend to take next semester!
