My name is Meghan Ferris and I grew up on Long Island. I'm a sophomore studying business and I'm on the Women's Rowing
Team here at Michigan.
I have always enjoyed science, but unfortunately it has
not been as present in my college education thus far as I had hoped. I'm
excited to get familiar with astronomy, an area I have yet to really explore,
and reengage with the quantitative reasoning associated with the subject.
I am probably most interested in understanding a little more fully the
concept of the ever-expanding universe and the implications of dark matter.
I look forward to learning about something new from such an enthusiastic instructor in an interactive class.
