Hi! My name is Clare Brennan and I am currently a sophomore
studying Drama and English in LS&A. This summer I worked as a camp counselor in northern Michigan. Miles away from any sort of city lights, I had the privilege of seeing the most spectacular night skies imaginable, every night. I’ve always had a respect for the universe
and ever since my (very basic) observation projects from my physical science
course in high school, I’ve been interested in discovering more about the
patterns and phenomena that make up the vast space surrounding our little
world. I took Astronomy 102 last semester and was completely fascinated by the
concepts of the inevitable end of the star we rely on so heavily and the
eventual fate of our universe. I am looking forward to engaging in discussions
on the relevance of modern astronomical studies and how it pertains to us as
students of the world. Judging by the wonderful emphasis on communication in
this course, I don’t think I’ll be disappointed.
