Maggie Dischmann: Intro Post

Hi! My name is Maggie Dischmann and I am from Long Island. I am a sophomore majoring in Data Mining & Information Analysis Informatics and minoring in Gender and Health. Apart from satisfying my natural science credits, I chose this class because it was different from all my other classes and was very appealing to me. My family has always been intrigued by the stars and unknown aspects of the universe, so I figured I would learn a lot from this class and be able to contribute to their conversations. I am mostly excited to learn about the history of the stars and constellations. I have never taken an astronomy class, but I have heard great reviews so I am very excited to learn more and hopefully find a new and unique interest!
